Adding backpack to character

Hello everyone,
This is my first post here, so my apologies if I missed the mark on the board this was meant to go.

I know it is possible to give the character wings or tails through scripting, but I can’t seem to give it a backpack, particularly the one with the bed roll.
It is just for roleplaying/visual purposes, so I don’t need any specific function to be attached.

As such, I wanted ask if anyone knows how I can do this.
Thank you in advance!

P.S:
As a bit of context, I’ve been playing NwN for quite a long while, with some breaks here and there, occasionally dipping my toes on scripting, but nothing much really. When Enhanced Edition came out I couldn’t believe my eyes and got it in a flash, but I find I don’t have as much time as I used to when I was a kid.

Backpacks are actually wings so you can set them just as you would set wings. Look at wingmodel.2da to get the row of the backpack with bedroll (=80).

Instead of scripting you could also use this magnificent tool :grinning::

(shameless self promotion)

Just for scientific clarity, the backpack that functions as wings will always be part of your character, they’ll be wearing it even when naked. This may or may not be an issue.

(Which is why I was over the moon with the backpack-as-part-of-an-armour that CEP offers and spent a day tweaking armours in my module so that they all come with a backpack  )

Thank you, it worked like a charm!

I haven’t played with CEP in a long while, but that sounds like it might be a good alternative.
Thank you, I’ll check it out!
