Translation - Sometime in the first quarter of of 2024 (Jan to March next year) BG3 will have a disk version on all platforms (AFAIK). Larian say this is not a collector’s edition and will be restocked when stocks sell out. Price $80. Gamespot page with article on this.

I saw that. I was excited to buy the pc version but then I read it carefully. The pc version only has Steam keys for a download. No disc. Very disappointing.
Actually that is unclear from the announcements I’ve seen. There is mention of an installer on the DVD as well as mention of a steam key. It could be that they have chosen to use steam as a way of getting game patches delivered via steam for this edition of the game. For example see this article about it on the
PC Magazine site for a list of what is supposed to be included. There is a whole bunch of stuff that is more Larian than just BG3.

Playstation 5 and XBOX versions of Baldur’s Gate 3 Deluxe Editions include a physical version of the game, PC (Steam) version comes with a downloader app included on the disc, so game download is required.
