Thread title says it all really. Blender page with download link and a rundown of the new features. I’m guessing that Neverblender won’t work with it, which, if true, is a bit of a bummer.
The system requirements may be a deal breaker for some though.

If, like me, you are worried about NeverBlender not working with this latest version but would still like to try it out there is a portable version on PortableApps.com.
On opening that version of Blender it doesn’t look any different. However, looking at the add-ons I did notice a couple of changes to the import-export file types available. Simply put *.obj is out and *.3ds is in (but with a ‘!’ next to it). There may be others that I’ve missed but I’ve only just now installed it on my usb memory stick.

NeverBlender really should be updated to work with the most recent version, the last version neverblender works will be EOL soon.
New version of the beginners doughnut tutorial is already available for Blender 4 -
Part 1
Part 2

If you join Discord the Neverblender developer is discussing his work on updating it for 4.0, along with some new features.
@Symmetric thanks for all your work on this over the years.
FWIW, Blender 4 has already had a minor update to 4.0.1. Possibly some sort of bugfix. I see that Neverblender has taken account of that.

I’m necroing this thread because Blender 4.1 has been released. There have been some changes which prevent NeverBlender from working.
I’m not planning to fix it for 4.1. Instead I’ll focus on Blender 4.2, which will be an LTS release.
The most recent release of NeverBlender will work on all Blender 4.0.x versions (and 3.6).
