New Content

HD Art Pack
Are there compatibility issues with CEP? Can we fix them?

Public information
Information available from websites and documents is confusing, sparse and out-of-date.

Placeable Positioning and Proportion
There are multiple issues with usabilty, walkmeshes etc

Outfit sets Completion
Misalignment issues. Missing races and genders.

2DA Naming Convention (Taxonomy)
The naming hierarchy for creatures and placeables is somewhat inconsistent and hard to follow.

Sanity check of recent releases
Releases after 2.65 have not been out there long, and might benefit from proactive quality control.

Server haks not updated since CEP 2.4
Is this still an issue for anyone?

Tileset clean up
There are minor issues, especially since EE.

Document scripts
There are lots of useful (and not so useful) scripts, but who knows what they all do?

Cosmetic Appearances
Replace or otherwise manage low-quality models

In this poll, we’re primarily interested in what builders need.

If we look at the CEP 2 supply chain

the only way our developments will make any difference to anyone is if builders turn our work into play.

This is not to say that other stakeholders don’t matter. On the contrary - in particular, we have an obligation to thousands of players to ensure that CEP 2 remains compatible with older modules.

Content creators are valued for their expertise and contributions.

Lastly, in the real world, however customer-led we’d like to be, we can only deliver what the development team is willing and able to do. The current team is Mmat, NWShacker, Proleric and Stonehammer, but it’s open to anyone who’s willing to work with us constructively - just let me know.

When this poll closes, we’ll be evaluating the most popular ideas before returning to the builder community with more detailed proposals and options.

It’s a gradual process, but, recalling The Tortoise and the Hare, sometimes that’s what a quality result demands.

Hello,

I didn’t vote for “new Stuff”, there are only 3 picks allowed. But aside from the top-priorities there should be at last some new stuff as well.

Many thanks for all the hard work you have done and are doing.

Would it be possible to move all the outdated and archived files to a separate Related Project page?

Each time NIT processes the CEP Project page, it accesses each file URL to determine the file name and additional information. This slows down processing each time a Mod that requires CEP is processed.

@Surazal True, and confusing for players, too.

I plan to look at that (and the feasibility / desirablity of redirecting outdated pages to the current version) once the top priority worksteams are underway.

Thanks to everyone who voted in this poll.

Interesting that the results buck the conventional wisdom - so asking builders what they want turns out to be a good idea!

Given the resources available, based on the results, we plan to focus on these projects:

HIGH PRIORITY

Document Scripts
There are lots of useful (and not so useful) scripts, but who knows what they all do?

Tileset Clean Up
There are minor issues, especially since EE.

MEDIUM PRIORITY

Cosmetic Appearances
Replace or otherwise manage low-quality models

New Content
Include popular content that adds distinctive value
