Hi!.. Is there any possibility to change the item description? I have downloaded Vordan’s Hero Creator. I can modify the item name and its properties with this module but it looks like there is no way to change the item description. You know, there is a short text with some items when you examine them. I want to change this text. Does anyone know how to do that? I also have the GFF Editor. I don’t know if it’s possible to modify items with GFF Editor? Or with another editor?
I admit, on first glance it looks more complicated that it actually is when editing descriptions of items in the toolset:
The “Item type description” cannot be changed in any way.
But as soon as there is a text entry in the “Unidentified description” that one will show up ingame instead of the “Item type description” which is nothing more than a kind of placeholder to make sure that every single item has a description, even if it’s something like this one (default for miscanellous items):
There are many unusual items in the game. This is one of them.
For this reason it is always a good idea to write texts for both the “Unidentified description” and the “Identified description” when creating magical items.
