Class preq override on char creation

https://neverwintervault.org/project/nwn1/hakpak/no-restriction-2das

I got that and followed the instructions included… but you still have to pick 1 core/base class…

I wanted to create an iilegal blackguard/shadowdancer/assassin char for single player - mucking around with console and leto.

Using Leto gave an error instead…

Is base class requirement hardcoded?

yes it is, you need to change prestige class into base class to trick engine

Ah I see, well I managed to get around it using leto to replace the base class after using console to levelup to 3.

btw is there a limit for number of base classes?

not but some PWs might implement one

there is limit of 3 classes per character though

Ah thanks.

Would you be able to shed some light in my break max level thread?

I just found this;

This file has less of an impact during character creation than some would like, as the game is hardcoded to allow (at most) only the first eleven rows (the standard base classes) as choices for a new character. (The Player Resource Consortium circumvented this restriction by developing a character creator that is external to the game.)

So I have to get PRC to be able to take the illegal char I made up?

You can hijack one of the base classes - for example, I replaced Barbarian with a custom class in one of my modules - but of course that renders the module unplayable with existing characters of that base class.

Ah thanks.
