Creature compilation pack

The pack has been updated with the “Witcher Golem”, including adding my standard white based texture option.

Quoth the raven, nevermore shall one be missing from NWN2.

Raven model also functions as a crow or other similar bird. The file names referred to it as a crow, but the modder refers to it as a raven.

I’m slightly concerned about the license status of the last few models.

Hi, rjshae! I’m your secret fan  ! Only the latest models? In fishes, I also mentioned that this was a conversion.
Here, most of the projects (faces, armor, weapons, creatures) are conversion from other games (including from NWN1, but for some reason this does not bother anyone). But often people just don’t mention it.
I do not make money on this (what other people are going to do is not my business), I just want to help the wonderful community with the realization of their ideas in the way I can.

Hi, Rashi. I really like what you’re doing here. I just worry a module will get a take-down order because of licensed content use, something that seems less likely with the NWN content since it already shares scripts and data files with NWN2. No matter. Thanks. :slightly_smiling_face:

I understand what you are talking about. But while the content is free and not for making money, I don’t think that this is some kind of problem. By the way, as far as I know, CD Projekt RED, for example, gladly allows its content to be used for modding. You can also send a request to others … but I’m not sure of their answer

Rashi has also posted high quality overriding models for many “common animal” as well as some magical creatures here: https://modgames.net/load/neverwinter_nights_2/modeli_i_tekstury/novye_modeli_zhivotnykh_animals_replacement/498-1-0-23926?lrHflS

Yes, those look nice. I’ve been looking for a good hog model.

Those are pretty good.

One nit, black and white cows, pale hairless pigs, two-tone rabbits, etc. are modern domestic variants. Pre-Industrial specimens would be shaggier and follow the more typical grey-to-brown scheme of their wild forebearers.

They are currently overrides, but I think I will try making them as their own appearances. That way they won’t interfere with any existing content and builders will have a choice.

The Killoren are described as resembling half-elves, with the green or tan flesh with the texture of a leaf. They appear to be depicted as having horns or unusual hair. Possibly the hair from the dryad would serve with a slender, retextured half-elf body?

Comparing the appearance.2da list with the reserved 2da ranges, it seems like a lot of empty slot ranges could be recovered for new uses. For example: 1230-1289; 1320-1399; 1470-1499; and so forth.

That would work in a modern horror module as well.

Do we know the license terms for the new additions? Presumably they came from another source.
