Custom Content Challenge - August 2022 : Adventurer Couture

The theme for this month’s challenge: “Adventurer Couture”

Adventurer Couture

“That cloak of protection you are wearing is so last season!” While new clothing options are always welcome, I envision this topic as a bit broader. Placables that have to do with clothing production, (hanging) clothing placeables, Needle swords, mannequin golems, prefab clothing stores…

This theme was suggested by modderpunk.

Guidelines:

  • It must be fully working in game.
  • Use of vanilla NWN or publicly available texture is fine. Just remember that NWN textures must have dimensions in powers of 2 (2, 4, 8, 16, 32, etc.).
  • Teamwork is welcome.
  • Beginners most welcome. Don’t be afraid, just try, you’ll be surprised!
  • “Custom Content” includes many sorts of things: models, scripts, prefabs (areas, items, creatures, conversations, quests, etc.), sounds, portraits, or anything else new for the game.
  • All submissions must be finished, working, and emailed to nwvaultccchallenge@gmail.com (or a non-Vault link provided) by July 1st, 2022. Sooner than that is perfectly fine too.

Some things you could include in the download/email that would make packaging everything up easier and faster:

  • Any 2da lines needed.
  • Screenshot from in game for use on the Vault page. Formats: .bmp, .jpg, .png, or .tga
  • Portraits (if needed) of your new goody. Placeables and monsters should include a portrait.
  • Inventory icons (if needed) of your new goody.
  • Any credits you would like listed.
  • If this is your first entry, please tell me what name you would like your work listed under and provide a link to your other NWN content if you want that displayed as well (the link bit is totally optional).
  • Remember, the Challenge is all about fun, sharing, creativity, and surprise!

This thread is for all sorts of discussion about this month’s theme: ideas for things to make, questions/concerns, announcement of what you intend to make, screen-shots of work in progress and/or finished projects.

If you want to discuss the Monthly Custom Content Challenge idea as a whole or wish to submit ideas/themes for future monthly Challenges, please post in its thread here - Custom Content Challenge - Theme Suggestions.

When submitting a new theme, please provide a title and short summary of the theme.

If you have a technical question about some custom content creation, please create a separate thread so that the answers can be found later by anyone, not just people interested in this Challenge.

We’ll try to help!

Have no fear and join the fun!

It took a long time to align the chest and pelvis textures but finally adventure corsets are in!

Cool! A nice skirt -variant would be a useful addition. (Next winter comes for sure … )

I have the skirt as a belt part so you can have it on or off

Half-way through the month. Anybody else making something for this?

Why not consider using Lisa’s Military Shirt Custom Texture Templates or Lisa’s Crusader Cloak Texture Template in conjunction with MerricksDad’s PLT Tools? You could resize Lisa’s textures in order to make the resulting textures more detailed and you are free to use (with maybe some resizing) the devices (aka Embellishments) in my TR’s Custom Shield Designs too. Just a thought. Might be a way to get into custom content (artwork) you know.

Ill see if im able to come up with updated versions of Lisa’s first stab at fancy schmanchy cloaks.

Also an idea for someone to continue with this project: Mounts cloaks animations | The Neverwinter Vault

Slowly getting there. I made everything from scratch so its a bit tedious.
For now the Male version…
Going for a Romance Novel cover type outfit to go with the female corset:

No weird patches, spikes or straps like in the original content. Just plain shirt and leathers

These shoes rule.

Both male and female sets in game:

Now to make them for other races

Why make a skirt a variant when it can just be an optional belt part.
Presenting the all new, low-waist ruffled skirt (I uploaded a full waist version years ago)
and some possible combinations…

It’s very Adventurer bard-friendly. (Maybe I will make a Sharwyn creature out of this hmmm…)

Just great!!! And the heads are fantastic too.

I might be able to assemble an ONSPAWN function for random equipment on NPC & Hostile humanoids if it goes with this month theme.

Already submitted my sets, before I find something else to fix in it (I always do).
All new content not seen before: (No recycled parts unless its something I made before… actually I reused a retextured version of Gunner’s hands, they are still the best and I remade the original game wing backpack)

enjoy!

Actually, which woman wants to wear the same clothing all the day long or carry around 10 bags of holding with different outfits?

Just sent in my aproach to the problem. It’s just some simple scripting to change the appearance of some clothing …

If anyone else is working on something, just 5 days left.
