Arthurian Legend
Content inspired by King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table.

Dark Fantasy
I think that this challenge would greatly benefit some dark fantasy modules or PWs. Things inside should be Ogre queens, necrophiliac princes, torture devices (like white hot iron shoes), monsters, dwarves, curses, eating abilities, items like livers and heart (Cooked and uncooked), cannibalism, magic items (mirrors, apples, glass coffins), plants, undead, ravenous animals, diseases, gruesome deaths, executions (gory, gruesome and twisted), twisted and mad people, gods wrath, witches, demons, devils and dark pacts. Oh I nearly forgotten about rape and self mutilation.

Fly me to the Moon
Lunar themed objects, tilesets, creatures for modern, fantasy or sci-fi settings!

Humble Building Bricks
Every module builder will someday have to build a wall in the middle of a room, block a tunnel with a rock pile, make a custom pier, make a frame to add a door to this irregular shape mountainside, invent a special ruin, build fortifications, assemble a credible giant water puddle… And sometimes you need to hide tileset unwanted parts with handy placeables too. Simple construction placeables parts: Rocks, wood beams, planks, bricks, wall fragments, stone floors, roof tiles, fountain modules, table parts, light effects, column chunks, column tops and bottoms, wheels, modular well/hole kit, etc.

India is one of the world’s largest and oldest civilizations, yet there is very little content in NWN that can reflect this. Content could include tilesets of Indian civilization (pagodas, temples, cities, etc.), clothing, heads, weapons, wild animals native to India, and monsters from Indian mythology and folklore.

Once Upon a Time
Content inspired by various Disney movies and other fairy tales. Frozen, Sleeping Beauty, Maleficent, Aladdin, etc. (This one is similar to April 2012’s “Folk Tales & Myths”. However, it specifically mentions certain stories that were adapted by Disney studios and seems to be geared toward “lighter” aesthetics than the older theme went for.)

New skyboxes - pretty self explanatory.

There is a pretty limited offering of statue placeables, busts, and so on. Let’s make some more. Non modelers could script some devious traps that animate the statues or deliver harsh punishment to those unfortunate enough to disturb the statues.

Supermarionation is Go!
Autumn 2015 was the 50th anniversary of the 60’s hit TV show “Thunderbirds”. So I think it is time to have a CCC covering all (well maybe not Terrahawks :stuck_out_tongue: ) of Gerry Anderson’s puppet shows from “Four Feather Falls” up to and including “Joe 90”. There are the vehicles, the clothes, the characters, the locations (Tracy Island anyone), the sounds, etc. At a pinch, I suppose you could include his live action shows as well (but not the awful live action Thunderbirds movie).

The Show Must Go On!
Theatre, carnival, freakshows. I was thinking decor placables, masks, throwable rotten tomatoes, ridable people in a horse costume.

You had it in the right place before. This is the wrong place.

BTW check in the catalogue. There has already been a ccc - Custom Content Challenge 2012 Sep - Arabian Nights - which along with -Custom Content Challenge: September 2018: Hot Desert Stuff - cover most of what you are asking for here. There’s even an expansion to the standard desert tileset by @Zwerkules. So the Al Quadim setting has been covered before.

I guess i just didn’t look hard enough. I’ll check out the links you’ve posted. Thanks!

I don’t really crave for explicit rape- and mutilation-related content in NWN, myself, but I have to admit ogre queens and more witches would definitely be welcome in my book. :innocent:

Nevertheless, against the stream and against all odds, I voted for “India”, to show the suggestion some love. It’s true that while there’s a lot of Nordic mythology in RPGs, and even the occasional Celtic, Egyptian, Slavic, Chinese or Japanese reference, you hardly ever see anything based on Indian folklore, and I’m all for exploring different settings for a change, especially ones with such a rich and colorful background!

Ahem! - PHoD KALI by (who else but) P.H.o.D. and Durgatra Valley a prefab by ChaosQueen_Kara_8. TBH the shear amount of stuff in PHoD’s project leaves little room for anyone else to add to.

Oh! That’s more than a start. Still a little room to add to, IMO, but point taken.

Just a reminder - 3 days to the end of the poll. So if you haven’t voted yet, you haven’t got long left.

I’m slightly offended that dwarves are on the same list as necrophiliac princes and torture devices! I wonder who suggested the “Dark Fantasy” theme.

Unless there’s a major upset, all will become clear in a few days…

And the winner is Dark Fantasy.
