Custom race problem: "The selected models does not exist"

hey whats up!!!
i was messing around with makin new races and while changing/adding new options on the character creation went fine (modifying racialtypes.2da and a custom .tlk) adding NEW (not overriding) models to said races didnt go as well: i made a custom race named Zabrak. in appearance.2da, the RACE field is Z for the identifier and RACIAL TYPE to the corresponding ID of its row in racialtypes.2da; in racialtypes.2da the Appearance field is set to the corresponding ID of its row in appearance.2da.

when i try to select the custom race in the Creature Wizard, it says “The selected models does not exist.”

i wanted to test adding new models by using the human ones as a base but with different textures, so i exported ALL the default human models and textures (mdls and plts) with nwn explorer (pfh0s and pmh0s from models_02.bif ; xp2_models.bif ; textures_02.bif ; xp2_textures.bif and xp2patch.bif ) renamed all of them and the internal references with the tileset duplicator, put them all in a .hak together with the new racialtypes.2da and appearance.2da and added it to the Custom Content tab of the module properties in the aurora toolset (and the custom .tlk in the Custom Tlk File field) but still no go! in the character creator, no models are loaded for the new custom race and i get a yellow text warning “Models not loaded

I’m not a modeler but shouldn’t that pfh0 be pfz0?

you’re right – missed that one! but even after renaming it and its internal references it still wont load the models:

EDIT: nevermind, the .mdls that i forgot to rename were the culprits. i also had edited appearance.2da to narrow down the problem and forgot to change it back. thanks @meaglyn for pointing it out, my dyslexia got the better of me lol
