So it has been a long time since I posted and played nwn.
Some questions may sound idiotic.
Is it possible to import custom heads to modules?
Should I force cep or prc on modules that weren’t made with cep/prc in mind?
If they were made with prc/cep in mind is there a specific procedure I need to follow to install them properly?
The last thing I remember is that compared to other games, modules in nwn are considered as a separate entity.
That is why I am asking those those questions.
Thanks for the info,
Cheers
Module authors can add custom heads to their modules in a hak, for use by their NPCs.
Players can install head packs, which affect all modules. During character creation, those heads, plus those added by the module author, are available for the PC (with the exception of certain excluded head numbers - I forget which).
CEP 2.x is a content package for module authors. When a player installs CEP 2.x , it has no effect on modules that don’t require it. Even if the player opens the module in the toolset, adding CEP 2.x to the hak list, nothing will change.
I can’t speak for PRC - best consult their documentation or ask on the PRC Discord channel.
Installing CEP 2.x is one-touch if you subscribe to Steam Workshop as a player.
Builders and GOG players are advised to download CEP 2.x from the Vault. It comes organised in subfolders - just copy it to your NWN documents in one drag-and-drop (or use the NIT tool if preferred).

One note about head packs - character creation only displays contiguously numbered heads iirc, so you might have to install CCOH in order to be able to pick the head you want through the crafting menu in-game.
Yes. The easiest way is to gather up the heads you like and stick them in a hak together, then patch them into your game. I use a combination of TheBarbarian’s overriding heads plus CEP2 heads. In all cases of conflict (meaning heads occupying the same numbers,) I use TheBarbarian’s heads in my hak. I don’t renumber the CEP2 heads to force them to all be there because then their line numbers won’t match up correctly when using a module that uses CEP2.
By patching them in, most modules will just work. You’ll see the extra heads when you create characters. For existing characters, I click the customize option when bringing a character into the module to change the head.
