i’ve just started working w/arkangel’s rural coastline tileset. overall it looks pretty decent, but there’s one limitation i’d like to overcome, if possible : the stream crosser won’t go all the way down to the shallows, as it does w/the water.
the tile that works grass->water is ttr01_g11_01
, from the standard rural tileset.
i modified tcst1.set
to add a new tile definition, copying the entry for ttr01_g11_01
[rule 58] and changing references of ‘water’ to ‘shallows’.
this didn’t work.
[surprise…]
maybe there’s something else i have to change [such as tcst1_edge.2da
] ? although the *_edge.2da
files are mentioned in one of the tutorials i looked at, i haven’t been able to find a thorough explanation of it anywhere.
just wondering if anyone could help me overcome my naïveté so i can get this to work.
fwiw, here’s the full entry for the new rule :
