How do you join a NWN2 persistent world?

I am trying to join a NWN2 persistent world for the first time in years, and I can not remember how to do it. I have the scry list. Please help! Thanks in advance!

You need the client extender. The default client network servers are down.

The client extender is not necessary if you use the Direct Connect option

How do I do this? I tried multiplayer and that didn’t work

I don’t have a direct connect option on multiplayer, just a bioware login which won’t work

Did you insert the CD keys in the serial tool that comes with NWN2 complete from GOG?

Thanks. I definitly don’t have any of the MP buttons on my screen, and instead a Multiplayer button

There is a file called SerialTool.exe in the Installation Directory to insert the CD keys.
You find the CD keys in the GOG account page of your purchase of NWN2.
The buttons don’t appear on your screen because they appear after the login page (you can put whatever username and password you want, just make up something original for account name to avoid account name conflicts with other players).

To speed up the login process (it hangs a while, but it still works if you put the CD keys first):

Open up C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc
back up the hosts file (just make a copy)
Make sure to open the “hosts” file not anything else or other hosts.name files in Notepad (Maybe open notepad as administrator for some OSes).
Add the following lines to the bottom of the page:
0.0.0.0 nw2master.bioware.com
0.0.0.0 nwn2.master.gamespy.com

I finally figured how to put in the serial keys. I now can log in Clang sez.
