Is an alternate path possible for the NeverwinterNights2 default directory?
The modules folder can be set in toolset options, but the rest of the folder is invisible to the toolset. Mainly so far the hak folder isnt being recognised.

There is a way to play from an alternate directory, but not build from.

I have a module project I am working on, and having an alternate install makes the most sense since custom 2das etc interfere with playing from the same neverwinter nights 2 directory.

Well, now that I have spun up a decent workaround, I realised I posted without considering which NWN2 category I did.

But to clarify, I just upgraded to a Win 11 gaming machine. Down side is that onedrive is like a bad rash if spending for more space all the time. I only build or rather try to build with NWN2 so in 1 day I was 5 gig and at max. Jumped through hoops etc. The onedrive documents folder was respawning deleted nwn2 data every time I got to the point.

The workaround is to , yes have a play nwn2 and a build nwn2. I deleted the onedrive folder until I can get my head around it. So in a custom place the entire game exists twice on as many nvme ssds. So to build with one and play with the other, there is no real harm about loading my haks into the game hak folder rather than the player one. Easily sidestepped for release and pack it all up. The override seems to work without the documents path, but haks were invisible.

Now having debugged that. I will get to the matter if I am correct about the custom override is indeed truly safe in my not boot drive but in the custom one instead.
