90% mods use cep but practically no one is making their modules compatible with prc.
Prc adds great variety to gameplay aka tons of new classes.
So i really do not why people do not use it.
Hard to play balance a module/PW. But there are tons of PRC enabled modules converted by Jaysyn.
Go to Chat/Discord | The Neverwinter Vault to join the Vault Discord and ask.
Best to ask on general channel or on others channel to get the best chance for the answer?
I sent you DMs with the info and Notes. Hopefully Jaysyn will have a version he is happy with “soon” and we’ll add something to the home page.
If you have any questions let me know through whatever method.
Making a module - which is very often one person’s work - is a vast effort in itself.
Content plug-ins like CEP 2.x require relatively little extra work, providing a rich library of additional content without requiring any other changes to the module. Crucially, it’s not necessary to understand the whole package before using parts of it.
On the other hand, mods like PRC are daunting for the module builder, owing to significant extra work
- understanding PRC in all its complexity
- integrating scripts and data
- testing the vast number of new cases
This is not to dis PRC in any way - I understand that many players find it works well with official campaigns (and other modules that don’t customise scripts or 2da files) - but life is short.
I just cannot play basic classes anymore. i just find them too boring. Maybe because i been playing nwn since its original release. I still have original box for both original game, shadow of the undrentide and hordes of the underdark.
Maybe it is something else.
Maybe i just been modding games for over 20 years and i usually find base game little bland.
