Looking for a special Musican

This is a nice group of musicians, but something is missing:

Is there somewhere a Hurdy Gurdy player?

hi I am also planning to do a music team, with dancer, not assure is that the “Hurdy Gurdy”?

Typed in Hurdy Gurdy Instrument on google images. To be honest, those images of yours are not that great for identifying the instruments - too small and you don’t say which instrument player we are supposed to focus. At a guess you meant the one nearest the tent pole. Without a larger image it could be a bagpipe of some sort for all I can see on my 22" HD monitor (not showing off, there are loads of monitors that are bigger and/or higher resolution today).

We got you covered

Yes, but that’s not all. The gurdy isn’t just a mechanized violin. There are additional strings, the drone and trumpet strings. The drones produce a permanent sound (On a bagpipe there are also pipes which are permanently active) and the trumpets can be used to produce some rhythm.

This makes it to an overall fascinating instrument. To say nothing of the girls which play the instrument  . On u-tube are a lot of videos.

I would be happy to have a 3d-model (this type of 3d modelling is far beyond my payment class), which could be presented in a shop. A animated player would be the highlight of the year, but thats need to develop the animations …

Your musicians look great. I love the hats! But the instrument you marked loos like a lute, which is also present in Prolerics group (to the far left, with wrong orientation of the neck … ).

Just to give an idea how a hurdy gurdy sounds -

Name that tune :elf: :man_elf: :woman_elf: :ring: :innocent:

and a more creative way of playing one -

No, that’s not good. Played by a beginner on a cheap instrument.

To get some impression how it sounds if a real professional plays on an adaequate instrument I recommend to listen to this.

Or maybe a bit more modern?

None of this helps people find an actual model for such an instrument, to have it said.

Well, you need to find something which can be converted or just do it from scratch. This needs a 3D artist and is far beyond my skills.

A model which maybe can be converted to NWN (only around 5000 polygons) I found here at sketchfab:

I lready made some 2d Items:

Since nobody seem to be interested to create a 3 d model of the gurdy :innocent: i guess I’ve to take the challenge by myself … :astonished:
