Could some please explain in detail how to make more quest’s after using the plot wizard . With out over writing the quest that’s already in place .
I got mini quest’s working but it seems they can’t be put in the journal.
Or a way to get the mini quests to show in the Journal.
The model Im making has room for 3 assassinations and a few find and return quests.
I want them to show in the journal and run like normal quests that are set when using the plot wizard. But the plot wizard only knows how to over write the first quest you make with it.
Let’s make one. to keep the things simple, I placed the item in question just on the ground.
Examine the dialogue, especially the scripts in the “Text appears when …” and action taken tab. The journal is updated in the “other actions” tab of certain lines.
Then there is another journal update in the on_acquire script of the mod.
I’d have to agree that Plot Wizard is somewhat limited although VERY easy to use as a beginner. I worked with a games Design class in a school for a year and we used PW. Everyone in the class managed to use it without issues plus we combined two quests in the one module ( although I’ve now forgotten how we did it!) I think I have a couple of videos which I’ll have a look for.
As @Mmat says, however the three tabs in conversation editor (red hat) are easy to use and gets you used to at least being able to look at the scripts it creates. Can do a lot there, especially updating journal stages. Giving/ taking away items etc.
The final option you could look at if you don’t want to dive into scripting ( which is unavoidable if you really want to get the best out of the toolset) is a largely forgotten but imo brilliant system created long ago by @nereng which creates 6 main types of quests without you needing to script. It is also pretty quick and flexible. I have done some videos on YT about this system where I walk you through the six main types of quests in the toolset.
Final suggestion would be to get a hold of Script Generator a most amazing program where you tell it the type script you want and it creates it. A must for me if you’re looking to build modules.

I tried using this and it works but I’m guessing I’m doing something wrong.
First it just gives reward whenever you say yes without taking the item from my bag.
also on the part that says
‘‘Also Click here to choose
an item from custom
or standard palette’’
It says can’t find neverwinter nights. if installed use the tab to find it. But what am I trying to find in the directory ?
Also no journal entry shows.
Im so confused lol
