Merged quickchat.xml?

Has anybody made a merged quickchat.xml that combines the layout in Fire&Ice’s Big Fonts UI with Eleazzaar’s Larger Dialog Portraits? I should be able to do it, but perhaps you could save a little time? Thanks.

I looked at those shots, but I did not notice what was supposed to be “big” about the “big fonts”.

If you mean this … the fonts look small to me.

And I assume you mean with this …

However, this seems to be the quickchat image … IF YOU ADD THE OVERLAND MAP XML, which would appear to use the larger image anyway. I have not check the fonts used lately, but they should be adjustable easily enough I would have thought. (XML Override: partychat_ol.xml)

Is that the kind of thing you mean? If you could you ad some explanation and maybe some image ideas?

Yes, those are the two I am looking to merge, mainly for the larger portrait with the wider chat dialog. I expect it will require some fiddling. I’m not all that concerned about the font size.

@rjshae

I take it that you do not like the partychat_ol.xml image (last image above) then? (As that allowed a bigger portrait and wider text space. And the PCs do appear in a list beneath the NPC text, but just do not show here.)

i.e. You are specifically looking for the “fine line” frame look?

I’m just asking if somebody has already done this. Yes I’d like to maintain a consistent look. Thanks.

Okay, I got it working satisfactorily:

What’s the difference? (For the artistically challenged like myself. :slight_smile: )

Although, I would say the font needs to be larger in your one. (It’s hard to read.)

It’s just the combination of larger panel with the larger portrait. More text will fit without requiring scroll bars. (I believe the font sizes are the same in the above.)
