Model conversion

On the 3D model section of the Yobi3D web site is a button called “Convert File”. This page claims to be able to convert a wide variety of file formats to .obj and .fbx. I decided to give it a try with a .max model from the CadNav web site, and… perhaps shockingly, it works!!! Here is the resulting .fbx model in Blender:



Add some spikes and a “harder” texture (stone/metal) and we have another Planescape building placeable! :grin:

The Game & CG section of CadNav has a number of unique models. Many of them are .max format, so a conversion tool will be useful. The textures can sometimes be a little low res though, unfortunately. One has to pick and choose.
