NWN 2 Microsoft Visual C++ Saving issue on save

As stated by the title I’m having an issue with a single campaign Untold Tales Of Tolkien: The Indanthrine Prince (Definitive Edition) with a hard save or auto save the came crashes and i get a Visual C++ error about huge files. It’s just this one campaign. The save never completes i just get this :
IP crash

I have tried everything. I have a single login account on my PC, I am the admin and have all the privileges’ and I even can run the game as admin. I’ve tried updating everything, uninstalling the module redownloading it and then reinstalling it. I uninstalled visual c++ and downloaded the latest ( 2015-2022 14.31.31103) and even did a fresh install of the game. Tried with and without the Skywing client extension, and have nothing in my override folders in Documents and in the game install folder that a new install didn’t put there.
I can play the campaign just fine until i try to save the game then it crashes to desktop.

Any help would be great but know i have tried all the standard avenues to try and fix this.

UPDATE

Ok so i found the reason. The hard save i made would load, but was so corrupted that even thought i wasn’t using it it caused any saves i made while playing this campaign yo cause issues with visual c++ and then corrupt the new saved game to the point that the game itself would not even recognize that save game was there. The fix was simply deleting the corrupted save game. This has to be the oddest issue I’ve had with NWN 2 to date and I’ve been playing this since release lol

So if you hare having issues like i did just delete the save game in question completely or back them up and start with a new saved game.

kk :)

The only times I’ve had that issue it was always the last save and always a quicksave that was at fault.

Good to note for future uses.
