… and I love it! It relativizes personal opinions and provides a broader-spectrum view of the stances among the population than splitting people into being either “for” or “against” something. ::fist shake at the skies:: More polls! More polls for the internet, with more options! Infinite options! Until nobody knows what’s right or wrong or possible anymore, except that instead of grouping up and taking sides against eachother we’ll just be sitting there sulking, lost, and scared, and confused, asking “What the heck is even going on here? Who am I? What is cake?” and then maybe somebody goes to actually bake some cake and then we will come up with cake recipes and share cake recipes and reality will be meaningfully improved by that in the eyes of everyone who likes cake but probably not so much in the eyes of everyone who doesn’t like cake or doesn’t like it when people are baking cake, I guess maybe we could sometimes bake cake and sometimes not bake cake except that would annoy everyone who really wants people to be baking cake all of the time as well as the people who really want everyone to not be baking cake ever at all actually okay no I’ve decided that I don’t like polls if they help people make decisions of any kind at all I don’t like decisions very much somebody is always displeased when they are made oh no I just made a decision in deciding to not like polls anymore what is even going on here how does any of this work I am not comfortable with this situation at all.

Polls are neat in the opinion of people who are of the opinion that polls are neat. OK. OK, that seems reasonably stable. I can build on that.

Actually this is better than average. As of this post, 9 members have voted out of the 53 who’ve seen the poll. That’s about twice the expected response rate for a non-commercial website.

I think we’ve had our fun, so I’ll close the poll first thing on Monday (19th/Feb/2018).

@rjshae if you want one, make one. In the little menu above the editing window there is gear/cog icon. Clicking on that reveals a small menu with just three options, one of which is for making a poll. Just click on that. Making a poll after that is very easy.

Does anybody remember how Fester Pot always pretended to have created polls about lots of stuff at the IRC vault chat? Now that he can actually do that, he doesn’t. Crazy Pony!
