Firstly, I’m not going anywhere. I’m just done with Project Q - in part to the treatment inflicted upon me by the Discord Vault “Community” and because I don’t use Q (and actually never have). Its a bloated mess that I just no longer have the time or desire to mess around with it.
I have NO issue with the folks HERE who represent the TRUE Vault Community. THIS (and to some extent the Beamdog Community) are the Heart and Soul of the game and I will gladly continue to help people HERE and on the Beamdog Forums. So, if you’re stuck on something with Q, let me know and I’ll see if I can get you unstuck. However, I’m not going to be adding anymore content or fixing anymore stuff directly related to it.
I was already wondering what caused you to leave Q so soon after your return. I wanted to join that Discord since I saw you’re back but then never got around to check it out due to too much RL stuff going on. From the sound of it, seems like it wasn’t that great of a place to hang out at after all.
I think calling Q a bloated mess is a bit harsh but I think I know what you’re getting at. I still believe it’s the best one-stop-shop for high quality content for NWN.
I also really want to fix those TNO city buildings and the horrible lack they’re causing, but atm I’m just not sure when I will have the time to delve into the issue. And even if I’ll get the time, no idea if I’m capable of fixing it since my amateurish messing around with them back then most likely caused the issue in the first place.
Anyway, happy to hear you’ll still be around, old friend.
@Pstemarie I’m also very glad to see you’re around. I also find this community a lot more enjoyable than all of the other NWN and all of the D&D communities (the rise & fall of ENworld and Dragonsfoot is a story for another day). While I have some issues with Q, I wouldn’t go so far as to call it a ‘bloated mess’ and I use it as the base for almost every single project I work on.
