December 30th 2022 was a really bad day. On that day @TheBarbarian decided to delete All of their projects. This was against this site’s rules. Rules designed to prevent peoples’ hard work being rendered worthless due to the loss of content that their work relies on. There have been a number of people have been asking about @TheBarbarian’s stuff in the last month alone. Since that rule was broken I see no problem with resurrecting @TheBarbarian’s content. However, as I can’t remember what all of their stuff was called and I don’t have it all anyway, your help is needed. Can you list what you remember of their stuff and if you can guarantee that it was by @TheBarbarian possibly upload it here (7z file size up to 4mb) or a link on a file sharing site. I’ll be doing that a little later in this thread to get the ball rolling, so to speak. What I do remember as being theirs (and I haven’t got) were their heads, their redone for EE version of Aribeth and I vaguely remember a couple of crazier things they created (a strange multi-coloured gnome and basically a walking derrière with arms and legs). Please note that their animated version of the Stargate is in the CCC. One other thing is that I am not talking about stuff that is in the CCC. That is already known and catalogued.
So here we go. This illustrates 3 ways of getting files here. First, smaller 7z files -
Next a larger file. This was split into 5 parts. You need all the parts. To complicate matters further Discourse (the forum software used here) doesn’t support files with numeric extensions (e.g. 001, 002, etc.) so each part is encapsulated in a 7z wrapper archive. So you will need to first extract all four parts before you can extract the contents by opening part 001.
Finally there is their Blender snowman tutorial. This was just too big to reasonably split across numerous small parts being around 27mb. So it is now on dropbox and here is the link -
Yes I remember that now. It is definitely by @TheBarbarian. They had just discovered the old UK sketch show “The Two Ronnies” and that was from the mini-serial of the same name that ran in some series. It would make for a great UK Victorian Vampire or other monster (Mr. Hyde?).
I found the old NWVault page for TheBarbarian’s NWN Heads using the Wayback Machine to get the old vault ID number (166), then went digging around RoloVault to no avail.
However I did find that someone uploaded TheBarbarian’s heads to Steam
This does no good for people like myself that have the GOG version, but maybe someone with the Steam version of NWN can download the heads and share them elsewhere.
I just posted the hak as well as some unreleased stuff (heads and a tutorial). I also found the elven ships placeables someone else requested a while back so I included those.
Had a thought and had a look through the back- posts in the promo thread. Found one that I had completely forgotten about. Seems like @TheBarbarian created a second version of their Aribeth model-
I have exhausted all the pm posts on these forums tween us now. Loads of things they never released. Think is I haven’t come across the first pm thread though. Maybe these Discourse forums have a date when ancient pm are destroyed.
Not in the CCC. I double checked the catalogue and neither of these last 2 are there. Found a couple of items in them, that I had forgotten but not those.
