The latest v1.05E has just been uploaded.
Version 1.05E is an important update, as this version also denotes a NEW HAK folder, which now contains a great deal of new material for modules going forward. please note the following …
Existing Players (v1.04E): Should apply the latest CAMPAIGN folder ONLY to benefit from the fixed AI. Do NOT update module or hak files! (Unless you intend to start again.)
New Players (v1.05E): You will need ALL new folders referencing v1.05E, as the HAK changes in the Althea_Others download make module differences incompatible with the older HAK files.
The new HAK comes in at a hefty 806MB (compressed), which includes the new 2.7 GB Hak file. This new hak contains all the latest tileset updates and monsters I could find as well as the sundries I had to date, as well as some earlier materials for the campaign. However, as a consequence, future more regular CAMPAIGN files will be smaller as a result (which are required for patching).
Remember, however, that you only need this latest file if you are starting afresh with v1.05E. It will be required for module two, but that is some way off yet. For compatibility, I kept new monsters that were already being used in module one within the campaign update. Only newer monsters (yet to be used) have been added to the latest hak.
NB: DO NOT USE the latest hak with v1.04E or earlier, as it will make some of the areas walls and ceilings (especially in the ancient crypt) appear to having missing textures.

UPDATE: I have now uploaded v1.06E to replace v1.05E where the hak was too big to work reliably. New content is now placed within a second hak that will become available when module two is released, and when the content is required.
The large hak that comes with module one now contains all the tilesets I use and will use moving forward. The hak I will release with module two will contain all the new additional monsters (which are not currently used in module one and new placeables, including the Sundries pack. All other content required has been left within the campaign folder. These latest haks are less than 1.5GB, which is the most I will now pack them to, to avoid potential placeable problems in game. If you still see anything that looks incorrect, please let me know! Thanks!
I just added this to a second version of v1.06E CAMPAIGN folder:
- REBIRTH ANIMATION: Stopped PC falling down again after rebirth. (Animation fix.)
- REBIRTH SOUND: Removed bad sound files to allow sound to play correctly.
(One person downloaded that file, and I recommend downloading again, as I have also removed some “bad” sound files that were not working.)
As I continue with Module 2, I still address minor cosmetic issues with module 1, and so for the record, here is a list of minor changes that will occur with any potential v1.07E update. NB: This update may be a long way off, and the points I make here should only be “cosmetic”…

IMPORTANT FACTION FIX …
I found a nasty bug that was introduced when I had to change/remove a faction a while back. Frustratingly, when you remove a faction from the faction table, I now know that it messes up existing factions of those that come after its presence in the table.
Hopefully that was the last of any faction problems. Let me know if you see any others and I will address them immediately.
This one fixes the dwarf called Dringle in the Holy Crypts and prevents you getting stuck in a conversation unable to escape while in combat.

OBSERVATIONS FOR ANY POTENTIAL NEXT UPDATE (In v1.08E When available):
NB: These have minimal impact on the current module at most … but are done in preparation of module 2.
- SCRIPTS: Moved all scripts to root directory and recompiled. (Invisibility spells recompiled.)
- IMMUNITY: Some spell immunity fixes added.
- ORE CRATE: Fix ore in Todd’s crate. (Normally not accessible anyway, so purely academic.)
- GUARD RESPONSE: Prevent instant turn back and multiple influence loss.
- COMPANION RESPONSE: Fixed logic of companion responding instead of Main PC in examine.

I decided to provide another update (v1.08E) for those that like to have the very latest files. This update is considered mostly COSMETIC, as long as the player does not purposely/accidentally damage their game by using the “broken” Examine “Turn Target Hostile” button on an inappropriate target, including their own companions/self. This latest patch should fix any “bad” targeted options now by disabling this button on inappropriate targets. NB: Even if present, the option may still be “refused” due to other factors.
Other points to note or fixes in this latest v1.08E include:-
- SCRIPTS: Moved all scripts to root directory and recompiled. (Invisibility spells recompiled.)
- IMMUNITY: Some spell immunity fixes added.
- ORE CRATE: Fix ore in Todd’s crate. (Normally not accessible anyway, so purely academic.)
- GUARD RESPONSE: Prevent instant turn back and multiple influence loss (if repeated).
- COMPANION RESPONSE: Fixed logic of companion responding instead of Main PC in examine.

- COMBAT: Removed clear action command at combat start if not auto-pausing.
- COMBAT: Cleared end of combat “enemy seek” if all party dead. (Monsters do not run away.)
- COMBAT: Ensured Round Counter reset and restarts if respawn after a party wipeout.
- EXAMINE: Fixed examine creature to work first time on right-click - and not to have to do so twice.

Again, I decided to provide another update (v1.09E) for those that like to have the very latest files. This update comes RECOMMENDED , as it sorts a number of COMBAT cosmetics, especially on a party wide wipeout. It also fixes the right-click examine of creatures so that they only require a single right-click instead of having to do it twice.
NOTE: There was no module update this time as nothing was changed there.
The full list in this latest v1.09E include:-
- SPEECH: Stop brief spotlights on empty speech. (Cosmetic.)
- COMBAT: Removed clear action command at combat start if not auto-pausing.
- COMBAT: Cleared end of combat “enemy seek” if all party dead. (Monsters do not run away.)

- EXAMINE: Fixed examine creature to work first time on right-click - and not to have to do so twice.
