Trend Micro Issue

Some of you may remember that I’ve been trying to get my toolset working again for a couple of years now. The whole time I’ve been trying to figure out if the problem was caused by Win 10, the Intel Graphics chipset, some odd configuration on my system.

I recently switched from Trend Micro to McAfee for my security package. A week ago I accidentally clicked the Toolset icon by accident and BOOM, it started right up. Never even considered that as I’d been using it for years.

So if anyone else is having trouble, check your anti-malware software too.

Hope this helps someone else.

@GCoyote,

Having come from a computer technical service engineer background myself, I would always recommend disabling any 3rd party anti-virus or monitoring software on a computer when trouble-shooting software. If possible, I would sometimes even suggest testing in safe mode too, as long as certain drivers are not required to accommodate the tested software in question.

However, it’s good to know you discovered it and are now working! :+1:

Yes, I’ve learned to always check my security software whenever I have a persistent software issue.
