So I’m making a little reskinning to the amazing Mountains and more from @Zwerkules with WoW textures and models to make a small server and play with friends. I’ve made some progress so why not to share it?
It might take a little time to replace all the assets with new ones and optimize it, but take for sure that when I’m done, I’ll release it and hope to see some WarCraft modules!
Replacing the moss texture on the mountains with a grass texture isn’t a good choice because you can see the direction the grass is growing and it looks weird.
I think the same as you, but didn’t started to touch the mountains really, I’m working on the ‘a’ set. There’s still a lot of work to do!
Just a quick note to say this is something I’ve dreamed of since 2004, dafena. Please let us know if there’s anything you need help with.
Soooooooooooooooooo… A month later and I got tired of the rural tileset, Why would you ask? Because I was taking the time to replace almost every model, a huge work! So, sad as it might sound, I’m leaving all that behind and just replacing the textures. As I’ve got tired of seeing mountains, I’ve started with the City one!
Our little module will take place between the second war and the coming of the burning legion, so we need a tileset that will look something like Lordaeron not Stormwind… And this is what I’ve made so far!
Last one shows I still have work to do, but I don’t think it will take me more than a few weeks to get it done! Hope that you guys like it
I think you nailed the “eternal sunset” vibe of pre-scourge Lordaeron. Great job.
I’m a WoW lore junkie, can you share some of the narrative of your module?
In reality I didn’t think anything beyond the time were the little campaign (or server, if it attracts some interest on the spanish community) will take place. For now, beign a fan of adventures I want to recreate at least a big part of Lordaeron and a little of Quel’Thalas so players can play… adventures.
BUT I can confirm you that if it dosen’t play well, I’ll just take the W3 story try to integrate the players and maybe… Save Lordaeron? … Or not
