It’s like the dialogue is oversized. Changing the game/screen resolution does nothing to fix it. I’ve never seen this before, and removing everything in the override hasn’t done anything
Good thing I can always count on this game giving me a good mystery. any suggestions?

Make sure both toolset and game are closed prior deleting anything in override folder - and possibly anything in the UI custom (if also populated), in case there is a conflict.
Then, just to be sure, reboot your computer and then try reloading the game.
So it was the i.e. NWN2 Complete\UI\default folder in this case then. 
You are not using this, or something similar, by any chance?
It’s the only thing I could think of that would maybe cause bugs like this…
In any case, what resolution do you use? I think NWN2 might be optimized for 1920x1080 resolution.

This seems to be the culprit. odd that it would give me trouble now, but such is the way.
