I know, I know. What the heck is he doing on a mac, when all the action is on peecee.
So here goes, to any other misguided mac user twiddling their educated thumbs on a Sunday, wondering what to do. Have just downloaded CEP v2.70 and seek step-by-step instructions, from any adverturer willing, any and yes any, it could even be a rogue, on where to place the different files to ensure a perfect install on my Neverwinter Nights Enhanced Edition.
A pearl in advance.

No - not the saves folder - the folder which contains your saves subfolder.
On Windows, for EE, that defaults to the Neverwinter Nights folder in Documents - I imagine mac is similar.
The end result should be that all the CEP files are copied to the appropriate subfolder as shown in the table in my guide:
The CEP files are already organised in subfolders to allow you to do that in one copy operation, but if you’re not confident about doing that, do it manually or use NIT.
(I would post a screenshot, but my installation has custom subfolders that would confuse the usse).
I’ve just tried this, Proleric and Im getting the same message I did with the last CEP I installed, namely that there is a tlk file missing.
Mind you, this time I wiped all the existing CEP files first then copied 2.70 over manually.
If Im picking you up correctly I just open the CEP 2.70 folder and drag all the files across loose into the same folder as my saves ( in my case Documents/ Neverwinter Nights)?
I understand that if it cant find, say, an erf folder it will leave the new erf folder untouched but are you saying when I drag the haks folder across it will put the new files from this folder into the existing hak folder for me?
Meanwhile, back to missing tlk file. After trying on my own, my game throws up this error. My updated tlk folder now looks like this-
I think I will wait until somone who has a mac, is kind enough to give me detailed step-by-step instructions on how to successfully do this. I imagine that many much smarter than me have gone before me and done this.

The tlk file required will vary by module. You appear to have all the CEP 2.x tlk files, so the problem almost certainly lies elsewhere. Unfortunately, the error log isn’t helpful, but you can discover the name of the missing tlk by opening the module in the toolset.
Plucked up the courage. Bought a bag of holding load of potions and spells, and went on a solo adverture, along with a guiding map by Proleric.
Successfully installed CEP V2.70 on mac in the first go. I will start a new post with detailed step-by-step instructions of how for future adventurers from the white tower across the valley.
