WIll custom old heads work with EE?

Hey,
From what i gathered heads now consists of 4 file extensions: mdl, plt, dds, and mtr .

When I downloaded Bastila Head Model I noticed there are only 2 head files a mdl file and plt file.

So if I download the old diamond edition head pack will it work with nwn ee right out the bat or not?

Old heads work fine in my experience.
